Announcing Our Free Pollinator Garden Lottery!
There are so many great events happening in Franklin County and Central Ohio regarding pollinators and native plants. Our calendar serves as a master calendar for all things pollinators, native plants, and habitat improvements in Franklin County and Central Ohio. If you have an event you would like us to promote, please email it to us at mikaela@franklinpollinatorpathway.org so we can add it to our calendar!
In addition to habitat projects, volunteer opportunities, and promoting local events, we are doing some of our own events as well - such as a free winter sowing class, a fall plant sale, and having guest speakers talk about local pollinator projects or topics. We also coordinate or collaborate to host volunteer work days for pollinator habitat projects. Additionally, we attend several events in and around Franklin County to spread the word about Franklin County Pollinator Pathway.
On Saturday October 4th from 10am to 1pm, we will have a native plant sale benefiting Franklin County Pollinator Pathway in partnership with Ohio Native Concepts LLC. Come shop for pollinator plants and support FCPP! The sale is at Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District at 1404 Goodale Blvd Ste 100, Columbus, OH 43212.
On Saturday July 12th, we held our first ever Native Plant Swap at Franklin Soil and Water! Folks brought native plants and seeds to swap, and there was more than enough to share. Thanks to everyone who came or donated plants!
We had ~30 people attend our free winter seed sowing class in January 2025. Thanks to two of our board members (Michael Keeler with Ohio Native Concepts LLC and horticulturist Lynette Overholser) for leading the class. Everyone went home with at least 1 or 2 completed milk jugs of native seeds for FREE! Stay tuned for the next one in January 2026.
In October 2024, we held an end of season native plant sale benefiting Franklin County Pollinator Pathway in partnership with Ohio Native Concepts LLC. Thank you to everyone who shopped or volunteered with us. We raised $1,150 for FCPP.
We love to bring in guest speakers and provide free learning opportunities to residents. Check out some of our past guest speakers.
