In addition to habitat projects, volunteer opportunities, and promoting local events, we are doing some of our own events as well - such as a free winter sowing class, a fall plant sale, and having guest speakers talk about local pollinator projects or topics. We also coordinate or collaborate to host volunteer work days for pollinator habitat projects. Additionally, we attend several events in and around Franklin County to spread the word about Franklin County Pollinator Pathway.
Join us on Saturday July 12th from 10am-12pm at Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District for our first Native Plant Swap! Bring your native plants and seeds you wish to swap. If possible, bring your plants in pots or cardboard boxes - no baggies please. Label your plants ahead of time, or we will have labels available at the swap. No registration - just show up and come as you are. Family-friendly.
In October 2024, we held an end of season native plant sale benefiting Franklin County Pollinator Pathway in partnership with Ohio Native Concepts LLC. Thank you to everyone who shopped or volunteered with us. We raised $1,150 for FCPP. We will have another plant sale in October 2025. Date will be announced soon.
We had ~30 people attend our free winter seed sowing class in January 2025. Thanks to Michael Keeler with Ohio Native Concepts LLC and horticulturist Lynette Overholser for leading the class. Everyone went home with at least 1 or 2 completed milk jugs of native seeds for free! We plan to have another one in January 2026. Date TBD.
We love to bring in guest speakers and provide free learning opportunities to residents. Check out some of our past guest speakers.
