We have adopted the rain garden and pollinator garden at Yellow Springs Taproom in Columbus. It is located in Clintonville at Indianola Avenue and Crestview Road right in front of their business and along the sidewalk and parking lot. So far, we have removed the overgrowth and invasive plants, removed rotten planter boxes, and removed lots of gravel and stuff that was in the beds - all in preparation for planting. Soon, we will be planting native, pollinator-friendly plants, thanks to a grant from Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District. Special thanks to this project's volunteer coordinator, Lynette, who has made it all happen.
We have adopted the pollinator garden at Grange Insurance Audubon Center. Special thanks to our volunteer project coordinator, Dan, and Fiona from the Grange Insurance Audubon Center as well as volunteers from FCPP and the Grange. Prep work in spring 2025 included clearing out the weeds and invasives from the garden bed. Thanks to a donation, on June 19, 2025, we planted the native pollinator plants. We planted over 300 native plants and 28 different species. Majority of the plants were from Natives in Harmony.
In collaboration with FLOW, we teamed up to do a native pollinator garden at Valley Forge Elementary School. It is a Columbus City School located in the Forest Park neighborhood. With our volunteers, FLOW, and volunteers from IGS Energy, we were able to install a diverse pollinator garden and an outdoor classroom space for the students and families to enjoy. Special thanks to our volunteers, Craig and Dan, who helped coordinate this project with FLOW.
Northwest Christian Church is in the Upper Arlington area and installed a new native rain garden. We helped with this project and provided additional volunteers. It was installed on May 25, 2025.
